Newly Funded PCORI project for IDD-MH

The Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence received funding from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) for two new projects focused on young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mental health needs (IDD-MH).

  • Project 1 Goal: To build the capacity for researchers and young adults with IDD-MH to engage in Comparative Effectiveness Research. Click here for Abstract or Easy to Read Abstract.

  • Project 2 Goal: To gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences of families of young adults with IDD-MH in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic across 13 states and 25 regions. Click here for Abstract

Both projects are a collaboration of the University of Florida and the Center for START Services, University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability (UCED), and the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence.
